Topping Your Burgers in Style

Brought to you by SandwichPro.com

Hamburgers are ubiquitous and we love ‘em. From basic burgers to fully blinged-out designer burgers, we can’t get enough of these awesome sandwiches. So here’s how you can take one of your basic (and more than likely ridiculously tasty) burgers to the level above the next level: signature condiments. It’s a simple upgrade to your burgers with big, in-your-face taste that doesn’t overpower. Besides, 63% of consumers “extremely or somewhat agreed” that an establishment that “has unique spreads, sauces and condiments” was a source of satisfaction for sandwiches1. In other words, your customers will come back for more if you add some signature sauces to their fave burgers.

Now, let’s break it down and talk cash. Adding a signature sauce may give you permission to increase your price. There’s also a price-point perception a signature sauce brings, so more profits might be waiting for you. You just need to pull the trigger and find your signature sauce. And mayo is an easy way to do that because adding sauce demands an upcharge.

Hellmann’s® mayonnaise happens to be an awesome starter because Hellmann’s® provides the perfect flavor and texture “canvas” to work with. Simply add some interesting ingredients to Hellmann’s®, and your “canvas” will come to life.

If you need a creative nudge, check this out: Add fiery flavor to a burger (or a turkey burger) with a Buffalo Bleu sauce. It’s easy. You make it by adding crumbled blue cheese and hot sauce to mayonnaise. DONE! Or add an Italian accent by mixing roasted garlic, basil and tomatoes into mayonnaise. Top the burger with mozzarella and serve on ciabatta. If you’re stuck for more ideas, just click here and we’ll give you some.

We have one more thing to tell you about before we return you to your regularly scheduled programming… Aioli. What’s an Aioli? Aioli is an extra virgin olive oil and garlic emulsion, not a flavored mayonnaise. If you’re looking to menu an aioli, but don’t know how to create one, let me introduce you to Hellmann’s® Real Aiolis. Hellmann’s® is the only brand to offer aiolis, and they come pre-made, ready to rock n’ roll, with three on-trend varieties; Classic, Sun-Dried Tomato and Wasabi Flavor. In fact, consumers are willing to pay more for sandwiches made with aioli, up to $3 more (Source: Datassential Menu Trends), so use and menu aioli, and your profits could soar.
