One of my favorite restaurants is Nobu. I’ve been there quite a few times and every time I go, I can’t bring myself to order anything else—I always have the Miso Black Cod. The cod is cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection, cut into bite-size pieces and served in a lettuce cup. They drizzle on this amazing soy ponzu sauce and top it with a crunchy garnish that provides a contrasting texture.

My ultimate favorite Mexican dish of all time is Pollo Michoacan—it’s hard for me to go more than a week without it. The thinly pounded chicken breast is cooked in a tomato-based secret sauce with fresh carrots, green olives, peppers and onions. It is brought out with Bonito’s fresh homemade flour tortillas and served with rice and beans.

The crust on this pizza is the perfect balance between crunchy and soft and the combination of cheeses adds just the right amount of saltiness, creaminess and bite. I always have to get it when I’m in L.A.

These fries are perfectly fried to a crispy outside while remaining soft inside. The Smoked Red Pepper Mayonnaise that accompanies them is spicy but with a hint of smokiness. It is probably the best dipping sauce I have ever dipped a fry into.

This Peruvian restaurant has amazing food but this drink really stood out. It’s made with habanero pepper vodka shaken with pureed passion fruit and cane sugar, and served up in a glass with a sugared rim and a cilantro leaf garnish. It is the perfect combo of sweet taste and spicy heat.
