The Broomfield, Colorado, corporate office of Noodles & Company developed a web-based RSVP system to manage events and blogger interactions. One of Noodles’ newest franchisees—Ted Horan, operating partner of Prairie Pasta Company in Fargo, North Dakota—created a way to repurpose the tool to use in the interviewing and hiring process. A job candidate simply fills out the online form and receives an email confirmation of the interview time slot. It worked so well, the idea became a system-wide HR tool.
