Racial-reconciliation discounts

Sitting across the table, sharing a meal is a great way to get to know somebody and bring down barriers. With that in mind, and as part of the state’s designation of October as Racial Reconciliation Celebration Month, Mission Mississippi, a nondenominational religious group, organized the Two and Two Restaurant Days. For two days that month, at eight participating restaurants in Jackson, Mississippi, people of different races or religions who ate together got a 22 percent discount.
