Have oven will cater
Joe Cassinelli knows the meaning of the words “marketing vehicle.” Promoting his restaurant was the original reason that the chef-owner of Posto, a Neapolitan-style pizzeria in Somerville, Massachusetts, commissioned a smaller, mobile version of his signature wood-fired oven.
“I wanted a way to advertise the restaurant at street fairs and other outdoor events, but the response has been so favorable that I’ve ended up with a successful catering business,” says Cassinelli of the $50,000 truck, which also houses a pizza-making station, sink and full generator power for lights, music and refrigeration.
