Winners of the 2009 James Beard Awards were announced at a gala ceremony held at New York City's Lincoln Center on Monday, May 4. The event honors professionals in the food and beverage industries and includes awards for best restaurants, chefs, restaurateur, service and more. This year's festivities celebrated "Women in Food" and included a post-show reception featuring some of America's top female chefs, sommeliers, mixologists and artisanal producers.
